McVeigh

My grandfather worked in the McVeigh mines from at least 1933 until his death July 15, 1945.  His name was John Herman Hanner,  bn Oct. 22 1880 in Greenup County, Ky.  He and my grandmother lived in a coal company house on upper Homemade Holler for years.  Eventually, they had the first house on Homemade Holler (the one that sat all by itself).  My grandmother lived there until her death in Nov. 1964.  My uncle, Ira Edward Hanner, (son of John Herman Hanner) worked in the same mine as far as I can determine, from 1940's (after returning from WWII) until the 1950's at least, probably til his death in Oct. 1968.
